ADMINISTRATIVE RULE NO: B003
RELATED TO POLICY SERIES NO: 4070
TITLE: APPRENTICEABLE TRADES TRAINING
Related training program services, content and length, will be coordinated with requirements of the joint apprenticeship training committee of each trade. Performance-based training shall be a priority of the college.
The community college will set tuition fees in compliance with Oregon law and provide coverage of apprentices and trainees participating in related training courses. The college will work toward joint reciprocal agreements to facilitate movement of apprentices.
Consolidation of programs to improve the quality of instruction shall be accomplished when deemed within the best interest of the college in providing quality related training for apprentices. Individualized instruction shall be utilized as a priority in meeting the needs of apprentices in low enrollment situations. Alternatives for providing related training will be sought if any individual course enrollment drops below Linn-Benton Community College minimum standards.
College staff will work cooperatively with local apprenticeship committees on issues related to apprenticeship education. Course content, class scheduling, and distance education are topics on which the college will solicit apprenticeship committee advice and recommendations.
