ADMINISTRATIVE RULE C010

RELATED POLICY SERIES NO: 7140

TITLE: REGIONAL PROGRAMS

The college President may designate certain instructional programs as Regional Programs. These programs would not commonly be available at community colleges within the northwest states. A regional program serves local and regional educational needs. A regional program may be established when non-district residents will not displace district residents from the educational program or the local employment opportunities the program is designed to meet, or when the program relies significantly on partnerships with organizations outside the district in order to offer the program. Regional programs may grant enrollment priority to students residing in the region being served.

Students registered in a Regional Program are eligible for in-state tuition for the first term after which the student may file for Oregon residency status at the Admissions office. For self-support programs, students pay the cost of the program regardless of residency status.

Programs may have the designation as a regional program removed by the college President should circumstances warrant.
