TITLE: TUITION REFUNDS - ATTRIBUTION OF FEDERAL TITLE IV MONIES

When students receiving any Title IV funds completely withdraw from courses and are owed a tuition refund, the refund must be paid to the Title IV Programs excluding the Federal Work Study Program.

Federal Title IV Programs will be credited in the following order of priority as mandated by the Higher Education Amendments of 1992:
Unsubsidized Federal Stafford Loans
Subsidized Federal Stafford Loans
Federal PLUS Loans
Federal Direct Loans
Federal Direct PLUS Loans
Federal Perkins Loans
Federal Pell Grant
Federal SEOG Grant
Federal Nursing Student Loans
State Need Grant
Other federal, state, private or institutional financial assistance received by the student
To the student

Refunds credited to programs may not exceed the amount the student received from the program. Refunds will not be divided among programs unless the refund exceeds the amount paid to the student from the program highest in priority.

CASH DISBURSEMENT REPAYMENTS:

Cash disbursement repayments shall be attributed to the federal aid programs in the prescribed sequence as indicated above except that no amount of repayment may be allocated to the Federal Work Study, Federal Stafford, and PLUS (both subsidized and unsubsidized) Loan Programs.
