TITLE: REDUCED OR WAIVED LAB FEE -- DRIVER'S EDUCATION

OAR 336.805 requires that districts adopt written policies and procedures for driver instruction programs regarding reduced or waived tuition for low income pupils.

The state will fully reimburse the cost of providing driver education instruction to low income students under the age of 21. Linn-Benton Community College Driver's Education lab fee will be waived for students under the age of 21 in families with low income. Documentation of low income shall be self-reported based on the student's eligibility for Pell Grant or free or reduced lunch. Information is subject to request for documentation or verification from the Linn-Benton Community College Director of Driver's Education Program. The self-report form shall be presented at the time of registration in lieu of payment.
