TITLE: FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION PROCESS

LBCC uses the College Scholarship Service Financial Aid Form to determine the amount a family and student can contribute to the cost of college training. The use of the CSS Financial Aid Form assures every applicant of equal treatment. The CSS form is used to apply for Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, State Need Grants, College Work Study, The National Direct Student Loan Program, and the Nursing Student Loan Program, and Pell Grant funds.

Linn-Benton Community College does not accept the "Application for Federal Student Aid" as an application form for Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, Need Grant, College Work Study, or the National Direct Student Loan funds. The application for federal student aid may be used by students wishing to apply for the Pell Grant only. This is a separate free application form and though the form is available in the Financial Aid Office, the results of that form are valid only for the awarding of Pell Grants.
