TITLE: PROBATION

Students registered for 12 or more credits at the beginning of the third week of the quarter are subject to probation regulations.

Students are placed on academic warning if their grade point average drops below 2.0 for the term, and on probation if their cumulative grade point average drops below 2.00.

Students are expected to complete those courses for which they have registered. A full-time student is placed on probation at the end of the term upon non-completion of 50 percent of the credits registered for at the beginning of the third week of the term.

A student who has been on probation for three consecutive terms is subject to suspension from enrollment of over seven credits.

Minimum Academic Standard for Continuation in a Program: A student must maintain a grade point average of at least 2.00 in all specific major requirements in order to continue in a program. A student dropped under this requirement may petition the department for reinstatement. Some programs may have a more restrictive requirement which will be indicated in the college catalog under that program.
