TITLE: PROCESSES, INVENTIONS, PATENTS AND COPYRIGHTS

Agreements regarding ownership of processes, inventions, patents and copyrights shall be in writing using the following agreement as a guideline and executed on behalf of the college by the appropriate Vice President.

PROPOSED AGREEMENT

RELATING TO

PROCESSES, INVENTIONS, PATENTS, AND COPYRIGHTS

This agreement is made and entered into this day of , 19 by and between Linn-Benton Community College, a municipal corporation, hereinafter called College and , an employee of the College.

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the College that all materials developed by employees shall become the property of the College unless arrangement is made by the employee with the College for an allocation of ownership prior to development and publication; and

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the College that the College recover any actual costs that may have been expended by the College in the development of materials, processes or inventions; and

WHEREAS, it is in the interest of the College to share in the profits beyond cost;

It is hereby agreed between the parties as follows:

does hereby agree to repay to the College out of profits, if any, which may be derived from the publication of said materials and processes, the sum of $ . Said repayment of expenses shall be made by committing percent of said profits to the College until the entire costs advanced are repaid, then percent of all profits thereafter shall be paid to the College for transfer to the Linn-Benton Community College Foundation.
