TITLE: USE GUIDELINES FOR LBCC ROADRUNNER LOGO

1. The trademarked Roadrunner logo is the property of Linn-Benton Community College. The college reserves the right to control the use of the logo in all circumstances. The logo shall not be used without permission of the college President, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, or the Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs.

2. Departments or individuals that desire to use the logo shall complete a form available through the office of the Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs. The form shall be completed and signed by the appropriate college administrative officer before the logo is used by the requesting party.

3. The logo may not be used to generate revenue for the personal financial gain of any individual.

4. If the logo is to be used for non-commercial purposes (e.g., promotional materials that will be given away, floor designs, official college publications, etc.), the user shall not be required to comply with the revenue distribution guidelines that follow.

5. Revenue Distribution Guidelines:

a. Items that bear the Roadrunner logo and sell for $10, or less, will result in a 5 percent (five percent) remission to the college. The 5 percent remission shall be shared equally by the Graphics Department and the Athletic Department, and shall be deposited in appropriate auxiliary accounts for these departments.

b. Items that bear the Roadrunner logo and sell for more than $10 will result in a 7 percent (seven percent) remission to the college. The 7 percent remission shall be shared equally by the Graphics Department and the Athletic Department.

c. Items put into commerce by either the Graphics Department or the Athletic Department shall require a remission to the non-originating department equal to the share it would receive from third parties (i.e., 2.5 percent for items under $10 and 3.5 percent for items over $10).

d. With the specific approval of both the Athletic Director and the Graphics Program Coordinator, alternative remission arrangements are permitted. This approval must be in writing, signed by all parties, and placed on file with the Vice President for Administrative and Student Affairs.

e. It shall be the responsibility of the party selling items bearing the logo to complete arrangements with the Business Office to ensure that funds are properly deposited and credited to the appropriate accounts.

6. One sample of every logo-bearing item produced for promotional purposes, or which sells for $20 or less, shall be provided free of charge to the Graphics Department to be used for instructional purposes. One sample of every logo bearing item which sells for more than $20 shall be offered to the Graphics Department at cost.
