TITLE: MEDICAL EMERGENCY POLICY

In the event of injury to any student, staff members should see that the injured student receives adequate medical attention as soon as possible. If there is any doubt as to the advisability of moving the injured student, an ambulance should be summoned immediately. The same general approach should be followed in the event of a sudden onset of illness.

In a medical emergency, every effort will be made to contact students, bring them to a phone, or deliver messages to them. As a general rule, members of the instructional staff will not be disturbed while teaching unless the matter is very urgent and cannot be delayed until the end of the class period.
