Sweet Home Center

The new Sweet Home Center was built into Sweet Home High School, inhabiting approximately 5,000 square feet. Construction of the new center as part of the Sweet Home High School renovation project began in 2003 and was funded through the college's $19.1 million bond at a cost of $500,000. LBCC signed a 30-year lease with the school district.

The new facility was dedicated on September 20, 2004. The Sweet Home Center houses a commons area, a GED/math area, a counseling office, a testing center, an art room, conference room and a computer lab. The computer lab is linked to the main campus as well as the high school media center. In addition, the center has new office space, three classrooms and an activity room plus access to available high school classrooms. Staff at the center have greater flexibility in coordinating services with the high school.
