High Priorities

Goal 1: Improve RoadMap and connect on-line schedule and implement. Discuss the uses and connections between RoadMap and the on-line schedule. Identify areas of improvement with an implementation timeline.

• Fall 2002: Compared RoadMap and on-line schedule and identified areas for improvement.
• Winter 2003: Merged RoadMap and the on-line schedule for summer 2003 implementation.
• Spring 2003: Completed.

Goal 2: Develop a system to take credit card payments through SIS.

• Winter 2003: Researched different versions for on-line payment.
• Spring 2003: Three different versions were linked to the web through Sally Mae. Cost per transaction passed on to student.

Goal 3: Complete the On-line Career Center.

• Winter 2003: On-line Career Center completed with Job Placement, Resume Writing, Job Search information and links to Social Services.

Goal 4: Develop and implement a searchable scholarship database.

• Winter 2003: The Foundation is building a database. Interim links have been provided. Build and test model Summer 03.
• Spring 2003: Scholarship information and application is on-line (no search function); Board scholarships in progress.

Goal 5: Complete the revisions for the on-line orientations.

• Spring 2003: In progress.
• Summer 2003: Complete project; add a search function.

Goal 6: Reorganize and update the Paperless Office with priority given to the Board Policies and Administrative Rules section. Add a search function.

• Fall 2002: Conducted survey of staff regarding Paperless Office. Added calendars.
• Winter 2003: added several forms, up-dated board policies. Plan timeline to update Administrative Rules and re-survey in Fall 2003.

Goal 1: Develop a webpage for every instructional program.

• Fall 2002: Generated a list of programs.
• Winter 2003: Worked with programs.
• Spring 2003: Working through list; most in development, but some are completed.

Goal 2: Develop a web page for every contracted faculty member.

• Winter 2003: Reviewed policy on design of web pages.
• Spring 2003: 285 pages completed.

Goal 3: Define and develop a skills camp for on-line courses. Use a modular approach to tailor for specific course

• Winter 2003: Piloted the Nursing program
• Spring 2003: In progress

Goal 4: Develop an online orientation for students with disabilities.

• Spring 2003: Students can go through the orientation via the web.

Goal 5: Develop web-based grading.

• Winter 2003: Received sign-off from Academic Affairs to proceed with design of web-based grading system.
