Linn-Benton Community College

 

LBCC is a comprehensive, public, two-year college serving the mid-Willamette Valley of Oregon since 1967. It is directed by an elected seven-member board of education. The Collegeís 4,773 square-mile service district serves the 182,500 residents of Linn and Benton counties at its main campus in the town of Albany (population 42,000) and at satellite centers in Corvallis (population 51,000), Lebanon (population 13,000), and Sweet Home (population 8,000). Albany is the county seat of Linn County and has been called the ìhub of the Willamette Valleyî due to its location at the junction of Interstate 5, U.S. Highway 20 and Oregon Highway 99E. Albany is 25 miles south of Salem, the state capitol, and 70 miles south of Portland.
