Ground Rules & Operating Principles:

  • Be on time for meetings
  • Open communication within meetings and with the rest of the college
  • Accept responsibility for your actions; complete commitments
  • Maintain accountability with each other
  • Meetings will be limited to the scheduled time
  • One person speaks at a time to allow for good listening
  • We will make decisions based on consensus; if a consensus cannot be reached, then a vote will be taken based on a simple majority.
  • Notes will be taken for each meeting and distributed within a week of the meeting

Communication Plan:
The work of this committee will be communicated openly to the rest of the campus. The ways that we will do this are:

  • Using a website, email, and hard copy materials for distribution of information.
  • Set-up a mechanism for soliciting ideas and interaction with others on campus.
  • Recruit a variety of people to be a part of the communication chain.
